Introducing Tasks
Tasks help to assign work that needs to be done to team members that are users of the system, and then track completion of that work through due dates and task status controls.
Task Types
The following task types exist:
Approval
Approval Tasks are created to facilitate Approvals throughout the Enterprise Risk System, including Approval of Risks, Escalation of Risks and Risk Assessments. See Approvals for full details.
Assessment
Assessment Tasks are usually auto-generated based on the Risk Assessment Frequency (Days) set on the Enterprise Risk. They ensure that risks are assessed in a timely fashion.
Mitigation
Mitigation tasks are created to ensure appropriate action is taken to mitigate a risk once it has been identified.
Viewing Tasks
The system allows Tasks to be captured linked to a risk. This can be accessed via the 'Tasks' tab shown at the top of the risk main page (showing Tasks for the respective risk).
Alternatively, view all Tasks on file using the Tasks link from the menu side bar:
Note the various pre-configured views available, defaulting to My Tasks showing only those tasks owned by the current user (with a handy Due Date filter at the top). Various charts are available via the Show Chart button.
Adding/Editing Tasks
Click + New Task to create a record or edit existing records from any Task list view.
