Recovering Tasks marked complete in error

Recover Tasks

If you have marked Tasks as Complete and wish to recover them back to status Open, but cannot as they have been set to Read-Only, follow these steps: 

  • Go to the All Tasks view in Power Framework (You may need to go via My Tasks to get there).
  • At the Top Right of the screen go to See All Records.
  • Then, at the Top Right of the screen select the option to Edit columns then select + Add columns
    • Select Status Reason & Activity Status in the list then click Close and then Apply.
      • Please note if you don't see either of the 2 options in the Add columns list it's because it has already been added to the view.
  • Once the 2 additional columns have been added, click the ellipsis at the top right of the window, the > icon next to Export to Excel and then select Open in Excel Online.
  • This will open a popup window with the table view in Excel. Locate the Action(s) you wish to revert and set the Activity Status > open Status Reason > Not Started in the dropdown menus. Use Copy and Paste from other cells if required.
    • If you do not get a popup, then check to see if your browser has blocked it.
  • Once you have made the necessary changes, click SAVE and in the Data Submitted for Import message select Track Progress.
    • You may need to click refresh in the import progress window multiple times to update the status.
  • When it shows as completed close the popup, and then refresh the Tasks table and you should now see the affects tasks as Open and no longer Read-Only.
