Snapshotting Report Description
Introduction and Configuration
In the Power Framework App, the Snapshotting functionality is enhanced by two reports. ‘Snapshotting Report’ and ‘Snapshotting Report Comparison’. ‘Snapshotting Report’ combines the semantic model and report into a single PBI file using Import Mode connection type to Dataverse and SQL Server. The second report, ‘Snapshotting Report Comparison’, is live-connected to the ‘Snapshotting Report’ semantic model and can be accessed via the Power Framework App when clicking on the Report button in an individual snapshot.
To set it up, parameters Dataverse, AppID, SQLServer and SQLDatabase should be updated during the configuration.
The second report should be connected live to the Snapshotting Report semantic model on Power Bi service. The Snapshot Report url in the Power Framework App settings should be updated with the new link to the ‘Snapshotting Report Comparison’ report.

Snapshot-Enabled Entities List
This report provides a detailed list of entities that have Automatic Snapshot functionality activated, displaying the number of snapshots taken for each date. (Manual snapshots are indicated as "No.") Users can refine the graphical representation based on the Snapshot Level—whether at the Portfolio, Programme, or Project level
Snapshot Project Summary
This Report provides an overview of the predefined metrics displayed over time at the Project level, including counts of Projects, Risks, Issues, Benefits, Change Requests, and Lessons Learned.
Snapshot Programme Summary
This Report provides an overview of the predefined metrics displayed over time at the Programme level, including counts of Projects, Risks, Issues, Benefits, Change Requests, and Lessons Learned.
Snapshot Portfolio Summary
This Report provides an overview of the predefined metrics displayed over time at the Portfolio level, including counts of Projects, Risks, Issues, Benefits, Change Requests, and Lessons Learned.
Snapshot Comparison Across Multiple Dates
This page lets users compare different snapshots of any entity by picking specific dates using the filter. The interface makes it easy to analyse changes across multiple snapshots for the selected entity.
Snapshot Investment Funding (SIF)
This page offers a snapshot of Portfolio Investment and Programme Investment (Define Programme Budget). Users can select two (or more) Snapshot Dates to observe any changes. Information covers all entities, with filter options. Select attributes to explore the dynamic data in the matrix. The graphic reflects changes related to the first selected attribute.
Snapshot Investment Budget (SIB)
This page provides a snapshot of Programme Investment (Allocate Programme Budget). Users can select two (or more) Snapshot Dates to observe changes, as well as Values for comparison (Budget, Forecast, Actual). The information covers all Programme and Projects for which snapshot is enabled, it is also possible to choose just one Programme. Select the attributes to explore dynamic data in a matrix. The graphic reflects changes related to the first selected attribute.
Snapshot Investment Spend (SIS)
This page provides a snapshot of Programme Investment (Programme Level Spend) and Project Investment. Users can select two (or more) Snapshot Dates to observe changes, as well as Values for comparison (Forecast, Actual). The information covers all Programme and Projects for which snapshot is enabled, it is also possible to choose just one entity. Select the attributes to explore dynamic data in a matrix. The graphic reflects changes related to the first selected attribute.

This page provides a snapshot of Resource Demand. Users can select two (or more) Snapshot Dates to observe changes, as well as Values for comparison (Demand, Approved, Actual, TS Actual, Day Rate). The information covers all Programme and Projects for which snapshot is enabled, it is also possible to choose just one entity. Select the attributes to explore dynamic data in a matrix. The graphic reflects changes related to the first selected attribute.

- Table of Modified Fields (Date): Highlights any alterations in date-related information.
- Table of Created Fields: Identifies fields that have been populated.
