Introducing Paginated Status Report
Power Framework PPM provides visibility of portfolio, programme and project data through interactive Power BI dashboards. However, your organisation may have a need to create traditional paginated status reports in PDF format that can be sent to report consumers via email. This may be useful for stakeholders who cannot be given access to or do not wish to engage with interactive dashboards.
The Paginated Status Report feature is an add-on to the core solution that allows you to easily select the project(s) for reporting and submits a background job to create and distribute a single PDF document showing a status report for each project.
Creating a Paginated Status Report
Navigate to a Projects view and select the projects to be included in the Paginated Status Reports There is a limit of 100 projects for export in one document. An error message will be seen if more than 100 are selected.
Navigate to the Flow button on the toolbar. Expand the Flow options and click on Print Multiple Project Status Reports.
A confirmation dialogue will then be shown where you click Run Flow.
The flow will run for approximately 2 minutes (or longer, depending on the number of projects selected), generating the report and saving it to a preconfigured SharePoint folder. Once complete, you will receive a notification email with the report link.
Report Details
The project report is exported as a paginated document and is not interactive like standard reports in the Power BI service. It will contain multiple report pages for each project, driven by the data volume of the project (as individual report sections will extend relative to the amount of data attached to the project).
The report comprises several sections for each project.
Header
Showing project name and project details.
Description
Consists of the project description, overall and other status comments, key activities for the last and the next periods, and a financial overview.
Lists
Showing risks, issues, milestones, and change requests if present for the project.
Compliance
This section shows the most recent date of status submission by the project owner and any overdue items.
