Update Microsoft Project Core Solution - PftW changes Aug 2025

This Knowledge article steps you through the process to update your project core solution to the latest published version from Microsoft.

1. Open Power Platform Admin Center

• Go to https://admin.powerplatform.microsoft.com/manage/environments .
• Sign in with your admin account.

2. Select the Environment

• In the list of environments, find the environment hosting Project for the Web (PftW).
• Click the environment name to open its details.

3. Access Dynamics 365 Apps

• In the top menu, click on Resources.
• Under Resources, select Dynamics 365 apps.

4. Find and Update Project Service Core

• In the list of installed apps, scroll to Microsoft Project Service Core.
• Click on the app’s name to open its details.
• Review the app details and terms of service.

5. Initiate Update

• Agree to the terms
• Click the Update button.
• Confirm the update
• Wait for the update process to complete.
• This may take several minutes.
• Do not close your browser or navigate away during the update.

6. Confirm Update

• When complete, verify that the status shows as Up to date.
• If errors occur, consult Microsoft documentation or your IT support.
