Working with Visuals

Expand Visuals to Full Page (Focus Mode)

Focus mode lets you expand (pop out) a visual or tile to a full-page view.

The enlarged view is useful particularly for table visuals to reduce the need for scrolling. This can be used if a selected visual needs to be printed.

Hover the cursor above the visual and click on this button 4.1_icon.png (note this is not available on all visuals).

Click ‘Back to report’ to return to the full report view.

Drill Mode

When a visual has a hierarchy, you can drill down to reveal additional details.

If you hover over a visual and these buttons are displayed, then you can use drill features.

Use ‘down’ arrows to drill down a level, use ‘up’ arrows to go back up.

Use ‘Drill on’ selector (if available) to select whether to expand Rows or Columns.

In the example below we are drilling on Rows.

The row hierarchy is three levels of Role, Entity Level (i.e. Programme or Project) and Entity Name (i.e. Programme or Project Name).

Change How a Chart is Sorted

For certain visuals, you can change the sort order of the data. Select the visual (that can be sorted) and choose More actions (...). There are three options for sorting: Sort descending, Sort ascending, and Sort by.

See this Microsoft article for a detailed guide to sorting visuals.
