Introducing Business Units

Business Units can be used to map the hierarchy of your organisation for the purpose of risk management. 

Enterprise

For each Business Unit, a risk owner can be defined. Each unit will manage its own risks and can view its own risk register (as a subset of the overall risk register).

This structure can drive an escalation process whereby a risk is escalated (passing ownership) to the Business Unit above the one currently owning the risk. 

This structure can also drive security controls, whereby members of a Business Unit can be limited to just seeing the risks owned by their own unit.

Exploring Business Units

Click on Business Units in the menu bar to view the list configured for your organisation:

Click on the hierarchy icon PF RISK Business Units Hierarchy Icon.pngnext to any of the records shown to explore Business Units via the hierarchical view:

Simply click on a Business Unit to view more details, including Enterprise Risks (and Issues) Managed by that Business Unit:
